Animation timing lane, multi-select, and smarter shapes
A new timing lane lets you drag exactly when each layer enters and exits your scene. Plus select and move multiple layers together with alignment guides, and shapes that animate in like everything else.
  • New animation timing lane — drag a node to set when text, photos and shapes enter and exit your scene
  • Each layer gets its own color-coded node, with a separate exit fade
  • Scrub the lane to preview any moment without pressing Play
  • Resizable lane height, collapses to a single row when closed
  • Play resumes from wherever you scrubbed to; Stop always returns to the start
  • Countdown clock while playing
  • Shapes now fade/animate in on entrance instead of popping in instantly
  • Shapes stagger in alongside your other layers instead of always going first
  • Select multiple layers and drag them together, with a live preview
  • Alignment guides appear when objects line up with each other

Shapes, and a reorganized sidebar
Draw rectangles, circles, stars, arrows and 20+ organic shapes right on your artwork, with full color, stroke and blend control. Plus a cleaner sidebar that splits Media, Shapes, Elements and Icons into their own buttons.
  • New Shapes tool — rectangles, circles, polygons, stars, arrows, plus 20+ organic shapes like blobs, arches, tickets and torn edges
  • Every shape gets a fill color, an adjustable stroke, and the same blend modes and effects your photos and videos already have
  • Drag a side handle to stretch a shape's width and height independently, not just its corners
  • Swap a shape for a different one without losing the color and stroke you picked
  • Sidebar reorganized — Media, Shapes, Elements and Icons are now their own buttons instead of tabs inside one panel
  • Templates moved to the top of the sidebar
  • Elements now browse by category (Arrows, Blobs, Stickers and more) instead of one long list
  • A Layers shortcut now sits right next to whatever you've selected on the canvas
  • Fixed: a shape's stroke could be invisible if it matched the shape's own fill color
  • Fixed: a shape with both a blend mode and an effect applied could render incorrectly

Video trimming, video audio, and a new audio bar
Upload a video, pick the part you want, and use its sound as your track. Plus a permanent audio bar under your artwork so you can always see and change which moment you're working with.
  • Upload a video and pick which section of it appears in your visual
  • Use a video's own audio as your soundtrack — no separate music file needed
  • Big videos are optimised in the background, so you can keep working while it happens
  • Change your mind about which section you used, any time — nothing is thrown away
  • New audio bar under your artwork: play, see your waveform, and drag the ends to set your clip
  • Drag the whole selection to slide it through the song
  • A moving line shows exactly where you are while it plays
  • Videos now sit still until you press play, so you can see your layout clearly
  • Undo and redo, with buttons up top and the usual keyboard shortcuts
  • Rename any layer by double-clicking its name
  • Elements library — 227 arrows, blobs, doodles, scribbles, shapes and more
  • 1,595 emoji to drop straight onto your artwork
  • One 'Replace media' button per layer instead of three, with everything in one place
  • Your media now shows a thumbnail and, for video, how long it is
  • Copies of a layer now land in front of the original instead of behind it
  • Fixed: opening stock media from a layer showed an empty window
  • Videos longer than 5 minutes aren't accepted, to keep things fast
